  2. I ordered a Magellan because 1) it was for sale, 2) I was on the extended road trip, and I thought the GPS is useful. When it came to looking for the manual. None. It comes with a CD on the computer, and you can create your own manual. You pay for the product and company can ask for paper and ink usage how to use it. Well, said the CD, just plug the 12-volt socket and go. I took to my car, plugged in and realized the battery is low and the critical load equipment. I took her back inside, I looked through the charger from the package, but was not. I put the CD into your computer and it did not mention a charger. I went online to Amazon and found that you need to buy a charger separately. My experience is that even low-cost electronic devices usually accompanied by the charger. So I ordered it and when I got the Magellan outlet. I gave it a day and it was still a critically low. I gave it two days and it was a critical low. So I put it back in my car, hoping to charge as I drove. It will be collected enough to write about my journey to the target, but when was the way to closing the device because the battery is critically low level. I have contacted Magellan customer service line and got no response. I tried to get replacement from Amazon and found that no more in stock, so I got a credit instead of my account. Very depressing experience.

  3. After hours of troubleshooting, online help, change the USB cables, etc. I am still unable to connect to your computer. I then contacted the “customer service”. India’s representative asked me why I wanted to connect. He said forget and just trying to use the device itself. (It was one of the “huh” moments), I told him that the factory Fri instructions of the first thing a user just to update the firmware and maps. Finally he told me that my unit serial # is not compatible with Windows XP Pro SP3 or Vista. He told me to find a friend with another operating system to work. (You can not make this stuff):>) Since it was impossible to answer I wanted to accept the problem worse. As many of you know, finding the United States / Contact the company is practically impossible. I found the media contact in France, which initially denied belonging to Magellan. He said his company’s name sounded like a GPS company. This is a lie, because his company’s website had the same registered Magellan logo refers to the Magellan products. Simply uskomaton.Lopulta I got a couple of mid-level technocrat / managers in the United States. They were completely unnecessary to assume that I can upgrade to Windows XP Pro SP4. As most of you know, there is no Service Pack 4.Magellan many horror stories on the web. There are many manufacturers sell GPS devices. Magellan is a rogue company. They are completely ignorant to even a minimum level of customer service. Magellan Avoid at all costs. For very glad you did.

  6. I was waiting to buy until I found just right for my needs (cards from the U.S., Canada and Mexico). I appreciate the easy to install, simple and clear guidance, in that it provides, and the koosta.Olin read more for a product when I bought it and realized I update the maps in addition to buy (not included in the most recent maps !) Although I was frustrated with having to subscribe to the update, and then think I ordered the wrong update product I had purchased my experience, technical support people were very helpful. He assured me that it’s just wrong was declared and I the correct upgrade needed. He helped me over the phone and the internet to install. It was very gemakkelijk. I found the support people very helpful … otherwise I would read reviews. I enjoyed the product and recommend it to everyone nervous driving in large cities … which is fine.
